Data Gateway connection problem - The parameter is incorrect

Hi,

When we try to connect to GW (is Online), the error appear.
Power BI > Settings > Manage connections and gateways > New connection

 

Unable to create connection for the following reason: There was an error in the data gateway.

Details:

Gateway2: The parameter is incorrect.

Status code: 400

What could be a reason?

    1. Check Gateway Status: Ensure the gateway is online and updated to the latest version.
    2. Verify Data Source: Match the data source type, credentials, and connection string in both the gateway and Power BI.
    3. Network Issues: Ensure no firewalls or network restrictions block gateway connectivity.
    4. Permissions: Verify you have the required permissions for the gateway and Power BI.
    5. Logs: Review gateway logs (C:\Program Files\On-premises data gateway\logs) for detailed errors.
