Credentials are missing error - custom connector with Oauth2
Hi Kelly,
Thanks for your reply! The Gateway is installed in the Azure VM. Power BI Service is used outside of this environment. According to the documentation the gateway seems to be installed correctly.
I saved the custom connector in the folder NT SERVICE\PBIEgwService. Is it possible that this might cause the problem?
I tried my gateway connection with a csv file as input which was located on the VM This worked fine. However to make this connection to the csv file I had to insert my credentials for the Azure VM. I don't have to do this when I try to connect to the Custom Connector. Is it this part that needs extra configuration or something? It confuses me a bit that for a csv file I have to input the credentials to login to the VM and for a Custom Connector this is not necessary.
Best regards,
Rens
Hi Anonymous ,
Is the folder NT SERVICE\PBIEgwService kept on VM?In your customer connector,it may already save the credential of the data source,so it's no need to configure the data source again, but if in the gateway connection, there's no data source configuration, you need first to configure data source to make the gateway work.
