Solved

Credential error for the SQL source are invalid

Hello, 

 

I have another problem, apology if i have too many today. This error is under Workspace, I cannot refresh it under the workspace but again I am able to refresh it under desktop, would you be able to recommend suggestion on how I could fix this issue please?

    Am I able to do it under the local Pbi application instead?

    Hi nick_wongth1 ,

     

    The most common cause of this issue is that the credentials used by the Power BI service to access the SQL data source may be outdated or not properly configured. In Power BI Services, navigate to Dataset Settings and under the Data Source Credentials section, select Edit Credentials for SQL data sources.

     

    Also if the SQL data source is local, ensure that the Power BI gateway is properly configured and running.

      Hi Adam, thank you fro your information, however, I am unable to find the data source setting in my PBi workspace under the app services. 

      Or I have to use the local application instead please?

      Hi Gilbert, 

       

      I have two account to be used for work, one is the [email protected] and the other one is xxx.onmicrosoft.com

      I am unable to use my gov.uk to sign in my synpase instead I need to use the onmicrosoft.com one. 

      The power BI one is vice versa which I could only sign in with my gov.uk email again. 

       

      Do you think this one cause the repercussion of refreshing my data under PBi?
