Cloud Gateway - on premises gateway
Hello ,
Just wanted to know why my team used on premises gateway while they could use cloud one ?
because i was working in a tenant that they were using cloud one
but another tenant using on premises despite our data is in cloud ( databricks )
Thank you
Hi. I'm sorry but that's a question you should do to your team. We can guess but the answer is something we don't have. We can't know why. Databricks let you configure totally at cloud without any gateway. There is a Connector for Power Bi. We can guess they wanted to use ODBC connector instead of databricks one. That would require a VM to run the ODBC driver. That could be a reason to use a gateway.
I hope that helps,
