Can't access data source authentication
I have a report that I've uploaded to a workspace outside my organization, but I can't refresh the data (SQL server) because I haven't authenticated through the service yet, the problem is that I can't click on that setting. It's greyed out.
I've never encountered this before, what could be the issue? Could it be that I'm not part of the organization? My profile still says I have Pro license enabled, and they have enabled my access to their office365 environment such as Power BI service, teams etc. So not sure what's wrong.
Thanks
Edit: It doesn't work when I have someone from that organization "take over" the dataset settings either

Hi Anonymous ,
Have you configured gateway for the data sources? If not, you can follow the below steps.
There are five main steps for using a gateway:
- Download and install the gateway on a local computer.
- Configure the gateway based on your firewall and other network requirements.
- Add gateway admins who can also manage and administer other network requirements.
- Use the gateway to refresh an on-premises data source.
- Troubleshoot issues with the gateway.

v-yanjiang-msft Thanks for the reply!
Yes we've installed a gateway. This helped for one update, then for the next scheduled refresh it stopped working again
