Cannot Add additional table to Datamart
Hi All,
I have a Datamart where I have some tables imported from MYSQL Database.
I want to add an additional table to the Datamart for visualization in Power BI.
My way:
Go to Power Bi Service
Open Datamart
Click on one of the present table and Edit.
DUplicate the table
On the duplicated table, go to advanced editor and change the schema and table name
Save changes.
When i do all of this I get error while saving:

The error message also says my database is in a blocked state
Hi Anonymous
Could you make sure that all the tables are loaded in your datamart before you copy a new table and then edit it to see if that works?

Hi Anonymous,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric Community Forum.
After thoroughly reviewing the details you provided, here are a few workarounds that might help resolve the issue. Please follow the steps below:
- Confirm that you have the necessary permissions to modify the Datamart by checking with your Power BI admin or workspace owner.
- Note that Datamart is still in preview and has certain limitations, such as the lack of support for DAX tables, dynamic slicers, and measure tables.
- Verify that the database is not in a blocked state by accessing it directly using a tool such as SQL Server Management Studio. Sometimes, refreshing the Datamart in the Power BI service can resolve the issue. Navigate to your Datamart and attempt a refresh.
- If refreshing does not resolve the issue, consider republishing the Datamart. This process involves deleting the current Datamart and recreating it with the same data sources and configurations.
- Ensure that your data source privacy level settings are correctly configured, as incorrect settings can cause issues with data import and refresh.
