Can not gateway data source using a DNS entry
I am having trouble setting up a gateway connection to a on premise SSAS server via the gateway. I can can create connections using the SSAS server name or IP address, but cannot using the DNS entry (which works fine in desktop, SSMS, etc.) The on-prem server that has the gateway installed can resolve the DNS name via ping.
Here is the error (NOTE: I changed the server name below in the error message output for security reasons)
Unable to connect: We encountered an error while trying to connect to Stg-XXX-YYY.ABCCORP.com. Details: "The connection to the Analysis Services instance timed out or was lost. Ensure that the server and the 'SQL Browser' service are running."Hide details
