App Viewing

I am currently looking to roll out some dashboards  to our sales team via Power BI apps.  To get a cleaner look and ease of use we would like them to only see the app and nothing else.  Is there a way for this to happen or are they stuck dealing with the rest of Power BI's buttons that they will never use.

  • They will see the UI surrounding the container. Unless you embed the report on your own webpage

  • Hi PremierOffice,
Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft Fabric community forum.Thank you, Deku, for your valuable input regarding the issue.
After thoroughly reviewing the details you provided, I have identified a few workarounds that may help resolve the issue. Please follow these steps:

Yes, you can enhance the focus for your sales team by publishing your dashboards via a Power BI App and configuring permissions to restrict their view.

    • When you create or update an app, you can customize the name, icon, and theme color to make it specific to your sales team. The new navigation builder in Power BI lets you customize the navigation pane. You can reorder items, hide items, group related items into sections, and add links to other content.
    • This approach ensures that your sales team only sees the dashboards and reports they need. You can hide elements that your sales team doesn't need to interact with, including specific reports, dashboards, or even entire sections that are not relevant to them.
    • Yes, you can customize the Power BI interface to hide buttons that are not used. In Power BI, you can modify the appearance and functionality of buttons based on their states. Buttons have four possible states: Default, On Hover, On Press, and Disabled.
    • You can adjust the settings for each state individually to control how the buttons appear and behave. To hide a button, you can set its state to Disabled, making it unselectable and visually indicating that it is not in use.
