App - page level visibility

Hi folks!

I have an issue. Previously, if I recall it correctly, when I created an app on more power bi reports, there was an option to show or hide specific report pages to or from specific audiences.

Currently, I have created an app, but I can only show or hide a given report not its pages to different audiences.

Did I miss anything? Is any workaround, which is not using complex RLS?

Any help and info is really-really appreciated!

David

  • Power BI apps currently do not support hiding individual report pages for different audiences—only whole reports can be shown or hidden. The common workaround is to share specific pages as separate dashboard tiles or use RLS, but there's no simple built-in page-level visibility for apps yet

  • Hi, Power Bi Apps will let you pick reports to create audiences. There is no configuration for single pages. It's the whole report that you allow or prevent to the audience. There are alternatives like spliting the report in two with live connection or using the Page level security approach (this is a community solution, it's not a microsoft feature).

Those could help with delimiting the pages for users

    I hope that helps,

I've just checked and I am also unable to hide specific pages in an app.

What I would recommend is saving a copy of the report with the required pages hidden, then revealing this version to the target audience.

    I hope this helps
