If this is still on your radar, I'd recommend taking a look at Metrica Power BI Connector for Salesforce on AppExchange as an alternative to the native connector:

  • runs through a Salesforce-side Connected App, not the built-in Power Query timezone shim
  • datetime fields arrive in a clean, locale-stable format - no DateTimeZone.FromText patching downstream
  • Desktop and Service return the same values, so no dd/mm vs mm/dd flipping between environments
