Reports in cloud connecting to PostgreSQL without data gateway
Hello
We want our customers to use PBI reports from in app.powerbi.com
We have data in Azure Postgresql database.
On Desktop we used Npgsql driver to develop reports and get data,
but in order to reports work in app.powerbi.com you requiring to run Data gateway.
We dont want to use data gateway in our local infrastructure(azure is fine).
is there any way to avoid using data gateway?
Can reports in cloud connect directly to PostgreSQL DB ?

Gateway is required in the case that refresh Azure Postgresql database in Power BI Service, you can review this online blog to get more details. It is not possible to avoid using gateway in this scenario.
However, you can consider to use Azure SQL database instead, gateway is not required when refreshing this data source.
