Removing rows based on values

Hello,

Didn't found anything that would help me the way I want so I'm posting here.

I have an XML import (~10 000 Rows) in my Power Query and I would like to Remove Rows based on the content of the cells.

For example, I have a Column that says "Released" or "Obsolete" and I would like to remove every rows that says "Obsolete".

I'm 99% sure this is terrifcly easy to do but I can't find it and I'm desperating.

Thank you for the time you'll take to help me !

Have a great day/evening 🙂

  • Hi Anonymous ,

In Power Query Editor, just click on the dropdown next to the column name and de-select the value you want to remove.

    This example removes 30122:

      Hello djurecicK2,

I know but the fact it that this is only filtering, not removing and tghe values are still usable on the report.
I just want the rows to dissapear so it doesn't affect my report anymore.

      Thanks !

        Hi Anonymous ,

This is not possible, and Power BI does not add or delete data from the data source. If you want to delete rows, it's best to go to the data source.

If filtering affects the use of your report, I recommend that you filter after you import the data so that subsequent steps are not affected.

        Best Regards,
