Problem with uploading Choice fields from Excel
Hi -
I'm a new Dataverse user and am running into an error when using Power Query to load data into Choice fields from an Excel file. More specifically, the error only occurs when I try to upload multiple answers into a choice field that allows multiple entries.
The field allows any combination of three entries: Youth, Community, Economic. These choice labels correspond to values of 1,2, and 3 respectively.
When I put a single label in the Excel field (e.g., Youth) it loads fine. But when I put multiple answers in the field, I gent an error in Dataflows about being an invalid datatype for the choice field.
I've tried many combinations of entering the data in Excel (e.g., labels separated by commas, semicolons, using the values, putting quotation marks, etc.) and nothing has worked.
Does anyone know how to make this work?
Thanks!

Hi mshoka ,
Try to uncheck the automatic detection of column data type and headers and load again.
Data types in Power Query - Power Query | Microsoft Docs
Or refer to the following error scenarios, which may be similar to those you are experiencing.
Error handling - Power Query | Microsoft Docs
If the above methods do not help, please provide a detailed screenshot of the error, remember to protect the privacy data.

Hi Stephen-
Thanks for your information. I tried unselecting the column protection and still got an error. Unfotunately, the error scenarios didn't apply. Attached are screen shots of the data in Power Query and the error screen as you suggested. It's dummy data.
Thanks in advance for your assistance!
