Thank you for your reply. I was able to resolve the issue. I was using @ and should have been using :
example: when referencing my parameter in the query I should have :P_AIDYEAR instead of @P_AIDYEAR

Super UserWhere does that parameter come from? Is it defined in Power Query? Is it a text value or a number?
