MySQL connection error

Hi,

I need to get data from a MySQL source.

I've installed the MySQL Connector NET 8.0.29, but I've an error about it is need to install one or more added components.

So, I've installed the previous version of the connecton, the 8.0.27 one; then I've specified the server, the database and the database credentials receiving an error message like "Character set utf8mb3 is not supported by .NET framework", during the data loading from the provider.

On my Windows 10 Pro 64-bit machine I've MySQL v.8.0.29 and Power BI Desktop V2.106.582.0 64-bit.
Any suggests to me to solve a such issue, please? Thanks

    Hi,

    it seems that using the MySQL Connector NET vers. 8.0.28 I can connect to MySQL source rightly, but the vers. 8.0.29 it seems not supported.

      It looks like an imcompatible issue. Did you notice any other difference except the MySQL Connector NET version?
