Invoke Function data flow suddenly broken

Hello,

I have an existing data flow set up with a generated list and an invoked function on a BW connector.

The query was working fine a few weeks ago when it started failing.

The error message is:

Error: SAP Business Warehouse: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. Request ID: aba348b5-04bb-4549-b853-f26a9da9b8b0 Activity ID: a6b5975d-c93e-47ae-8d56-20b2a15c845c

The query runs fine in desktop, and if I simply invoke the function using one of the paramters, or even shorten the table to just one row, it runs. However, the moment it is more than one row, all hell breaks loose.

It isn't a type issue, and I have invoke it individually with as few as two rows, and both worked fine, it is just failing when it is invoked on multiple rows.

I have asked if any updates have been made on our end, and IT said they can't find anything.

Also of note is that I have multiple data flows set up with different queries in BW, all of them fully functioning, and all of them started failing at the same time.

Has anyone else bumped up against this recently?

Thanks,

Chris

  • Hi cambros ,
Just to confirm: You have a history of dataflows which run OK and then get error-messages on scheduled flows that match the error-messages when you edit the flow to watch a preview of the results?
Then I would strongly recommmend to open a ticket for this kind or error.

While I appreciate a good old fashioned un-plug it and plug it back in approach, this won't work as the data flow is not built in desktop. Also, yes, it is breaking in the same manner when I try to refresh it in power query. I will open a ticket. Thanks guys!
