importing excel - assuming cell content based on previous cell
I am new to Power BI ETL but not ETL. I was given an excel spreadsheet that has cells are filled out manually. As you can see Column A is not filled out for every row and is related to the data...

You can directly import the Excel file to Power BI Desktop, then fill down the column A in Power BI Desktop query editor. If the method doesn't help you, please post expected result based on above sample data here.

What result would you like to get? It doesn't need to manually enter the whole data. You can import data from Excel to Power BI and click fill down.
