How to group data my month for data without dates

HI.

Is there a way to group data by month in PBI or Power Query if the data has no dates in it? for example, I run a monthly inventory report from our ERP that shows me the inventory total at the end of each month. I want to be able to get my data from the folder option on the PBI desktop. Here is a sample of what I need.

Inventory_Total.CSV = January

Inventory_Total.CSV = February

Inventory_Tatal.CSV = March

    You can just incorporate the date or just the month and year in your filename, and then parse it out in your query to generate a Date column from it (so you can properly sort, etc.).

     

    MonthlyReport_Jan2022.csv

    MonthlyReport_Feb2022.csv
