Get Data from Microsoft Dynamics AX

Question

Hi there.&nbsp;Is the any plans to add a service to be able to get data from Dynamics AX 2012 to create analytical reports on Power BI?If there is any plans for that could you let us know a timeframe please?&nbsp;Thanks

If not for 2012, it would be great for AX 2015 or 'Rainier' as it is web based

not a Dynamics expert, but I found an article that talks about OData and Dynamics AX, it maybe outdate by now, but maybe it will start you on a course you have not yet considered.

Thanks for sharing the link.But, as you stated the volume of data would be too big for OData.So having a service in Power BI webapp/designer would be the best option.

I agree but don't forget that there is a 250mb limit in the service right now so you probably wouldn't be able to load too much data at transaction level anyway...
