Based on your description, you are experiencing compatibility issues with older tables in the Access database. You can try the following steps to resolve this issue:
First, make sure that the bit size of the Access database engine (32-bit or 64-bit) matches the bit size of Power BI Desktop. A bit version mismatch may cause connection problems.

Second, make sure you have the latest ODBC driver installed. Sometimes older drivers may not fully support newer versions of the Access database.

Helper Ithought I would add to this. When I opened my backend database, it displays that the .mdb file format is Access 2002 - 2003. If I create a new database and import the files the format becomes 2007 - 2017 and I am able to see the data.
