Data Truncating

This appears to be a truncation issue related to the SAP BW BEx/MDX access path, not a general Power BI text-length limit.

 

If the same data can be exposed through an SAP OData service, you may want to try Power BI Connector for SAP:

It uses SAP OData services instead of the BEx/MDX path, so it may avoid this issue if the OData service returns the full text value. The connector supports large datasets, scheduled refresh, and incremental refresh. A 30-day free trial is available.
