Advocate IIdannyb_sbm We're in the exact same position! It seems like it bypasses Azure AD and just connects directly to the database using SQL Authentication. A little disappointing given PBI mentions it can support any underlying datasource that allows RLS, however there's no evidence to date that it can be achieved via Azure SQL V12.
