Combining Text & Date in Power Query

I'm using Power Query to combine a text column with a date column (I use [Text Column]&" "&[Date Column]) and am getting an error message that says I can't combine & and a column with a date format.  Seems straightforward enough but there's another table where I do the exact same thing and it works fine.  What are the possible reasons as to why the one works and the other doesn't?

    Hi PowerBI_Noob90 ,

     

    I can only assume that in your table where it works, your date is not actually formatted as Date Type.

    Use this in a custom column:

     

    [Text Column] & " " & Text.From([Date Column])

    Try

     

    [Text Column]&" "&Date.ToText([Date Column]))
