You're absolutely right that a hidden SharePoint reference is likely embedded within the template. To fully resolve the issue:
- Open Power Query Editor and review each query’s Advanced Editor to ensure there are no lingering steps or references pointing to external sources like SharePoint.
- Go to Data > Connections and remove any old or unused connections that may still point to the SharePoint location.
- After cleaning up both queries and connections, save the file as a new template (.xltx) and share that version instead.
These steps should eliminate the SharePoint error message for all users and ensure a smooth experience when refreshing queries.
