Barcode scanner on Android devices not filtering reports correctly

I have a report that has a UPC code defined as a barcode (and it is the only field that is defined as barcode).  The report can be filtered by using the barcode scanner on the mobile app using iOS devices, but when the users attempt to scan on an Android device it opens the report but gives the error about the barcode not existing in the report data.  

Anyone else come across this issue...and if so, how might I fix this?
