Workflow to refresh established dataset
general set up: a live connection and gateway established from MSSMS to PowerBI.
1) When I connected to the a data set, made some visualizations, I saved on PowerBI Desktop. I then opened the dataset and report in PowerBI App. This report is on refresh so no issues here However, IF my source data sets have new columns, I am noticing my refresh is not pulling in the new columns.
Is there a documentation (Power BI for dummies :(){-<) for "owners" of PowerBI live connection and how to properly share data sets with users???

Hello mendozamm ,
Make sure to check it in power query, since if you used choose columns in power query then it will only show you the columns you chose and wont show the new one, they'll remain unchosen.
