What If Parameter used to filter visualization

I am trying to use a what if parameter to dynamically filter a visualization.  I have a parameter table for the probability of a sale for opportunities.  I have a slicer to choose what chance of close percentage they would like to see.  Below are the formulas.

Table                Probability = GENERATESERIES(.3, 1, .10)

Measure          Probability Value = SELECTEDVALUE('Probability'[Probability])

Calc. Column   Probability Decimal = wh_opportunity[Probability]

Calc. Column   Probability Display = IF(wh_opportunity[Probability Decimal] >= [Probability Value],1,0)

Probability is formatted as a percentage

Probability Decimal is formatted as decimal

Filter - Once working I will filter on Probability Display =1

Currently, I can only get Probability Display to return a 1 when referencing Probability Value.  I can get Probability Display to calculate correctly when I manually put in a percentage 0.70 in the place of  [Probability Value].

  • "Calc. Column   Probability Display" -> This should be measure

    Calc. Measure Probability Display =
    IF(MAX(wh_opportunity[Probability Decimal]) >= [Probability Value],1,0)

    use this as visual level filter where = 1

      Thanks for your reply,

      I tried this and I am getting the same results.  Wouldn't MAX(wh_opportunity[Probability Decimal]) compare the max Probability Decimal of the column vs. the probability value?  The max decimal is .90.

  • I have a very similar problem and am trying to use the "What If" parameter - but having same issue - formula always resolves to 1
