Visual Creation help please.

Hello all,

I am new to the forums and also new to Power BI development. I have a business case where I need to try to duplicate what I have in Excel and make it part of an app. What I'm trying to do is duplicate what I have below as best as possible. What I'm having trouble is the second. where it breaks it out by 3 months, 6 months and 12 months in the same matrix. I would really appreciate any guidance.

    Unlike Excel, Power BI doesn't treat visuals as individual cells, so recreating a matrix like the one you have—especially with multiple time-based breakdowns in a single matrix—isn’t straightforward using standard matrix visuals.

    However, there are workarounds using dynamic measures or calculated groups (field parameters). These techniques allow you to control what appears in the matrix dynamically.

    Cannot undderstand your pasted data.  Share the download link of the MS Excel file with your formulas already written there.  I will translate those formulas into DAX measures.

      Just following up on your earlier query regarding creating a matrix with 3-month, 6-month, and 12-month breakdowns in the same visual.

      As mentioned previously, Power BI doesn’t allow such layouts directly within a single standard matrix. The recommended approaches are:

      • Dynamic measures

      • Calculated groups / field parameters

      These techniques let you control what appears in the matrix dynamically and achieve a similar effect to your Excel layout.
