VALUE FIELD IN MATRIX DOES NOT WORK

Hello Friends, 

the value field in my matrix in visualizations does not work.. for example, Act_mth refused being dragged to the value.. what is worse, it does not work when I analyze it in excel pivot... 

I tried to created another BI report with the same source, and it works.. 

it seems like only limited to this BI file, since Matrix does not work for other table data either..

 

but it will be nice to learn what it is..

    Hi zraopingm ,

     

    According to your description, you can't drag the column to the Value field to display it right? Here are some ideas for your reference.

     

    1. If your report uses calculated groups, it may prevent the ability to intrinsic measures. Calculation groups by default prevent the automatic creation of intrinsic measures by dragging and dropping column fields. You need to check if you have Calculation Groups in your report and consider whether you need to adjust or remove them, or use explicit measure instead.

    Solved: Can't add value field to "Values" in visual - Microsoft Fabric Community

     

    2. Make sure that the columns you are attempting to drag is of numeric type and has no missing values or outliers.

     

    3. Consider updating to the latest version, the new version usually fixes some known issues in the old version.

    Hi zraopingm 

    The "value" of a matrix visual typically accepts an aggregate type (first, last, sum, count, etc).  ACT_MTH seems to be the actual value by month. Can you try to change the column type to number?

      Thank you for your time.. I did check it see below:

      the only thing I did difference between now and yesterday was I replaced all 0 with null in power query..

        perfect, were you able to add the column to the "Value" field well?
