Unable to load model - some users only

Hi

 

I'm trying to help a colleague who has a PBI report connecting to a Sharepoint source. Some users are able to view the report, some are not. It seems that those with Viewer access in the workspace cannot see it, despite being granted permission to both the report and the dataset. They get a message saying "Something went wrong - unable to load model". 

 

All recipients have a Pro licence. I have tried adjusting permissions in the app to permit Build, and allowing reshare, but nothing has worked. The owner has tried deleting from the workspace and republishing. I'd really appreciate any ideas of what else can be done.

    Hi philippa_f ,

    First of all, do you have row-level security? Probably this can be the reason.

     

    Secondly, we had also problem with it in my company, we solved it by creating a group of users, who can see the content of the workspace, in the system and granted access for those who needed.

    Thank you Anonymous !

    This did indeed turn out to be the problem. The report creator had repurposed another report and forgotten that there were some RLS settings. Removing them worked.
