Two-level layer in matrix header possible ?
Good Afternoon,
I have a Matrix where the Column header in Month-On-Month...
Row header is Multi-layered (which can be expanded as the required granularity):
Now I need to place an additional field denoting the data being Category A or Category B. But if it is going to be used in this Matrix it must go under the Column Headers in order to look something like this (which is something that can normally be done in MS Excel):
Kindly advise whether the Column Header section can "theoretically" be constructed like above...
Yes, the native matrix supports this. Drop both fields into the Columns bucket. The top field becomes the outer header and the field below becomes the nested inner one. So with Month on top and Category below, you get Month, then Category A and Category B underneath each month.
By default only the outer level is visible. To reveal the nested level, click the "Expand all down one level in the hierarchy" fork icon in the visual header, or right-click a month header and choose Expand > Selection > All.

Shai KarmaniThank you...I had to make a new Hierarchy, and placed both the Date and the Category fields in to that...Then I replaced the Date field currently in the Column bucket by the new Hierarchy (which is including Date anyway).
