Two Data Sets on Arc GIS
I have two sets of data. They are completely unrelated and have completely different columns from one another except for lat and long. I would like to add both data sets to the same Arc GIS (or other mapping visualization) so that I can view them on the same map at the same time. Is this possible? When I try to add another "Lat" column from the second table, it replaces the "Lat" column from the first table instead of adding to it.

reeceminor,
It is not possible to create the map visual as you describe. There are two workaournds for you.
1. Create two separate map visuals.
2. Select required columns(Lat,Long, etc) and append queries of your two tables into one query, then create a map visual. If you need to distinguish the data from the two tables, you would need to add a type column in the two table before you append query. This way, when you create map visual, you can drag the type column to Legend.
