Top N Behavior

Hi All,

I have a table in power BI desktop which I filter with the TOP N method, i get results of 11 rows instead of 10.

I would like to understand how does it apply this, the data does have duplicated values, but even when counting the unique values it doesn't result in 10 unique values

So I have 11 records, with 8 unique values for the measure being used in the TOP N

Thank You All

    Hi elnaggar,

TOPN function used to return top 'X' rows which defined in current function. It not contains any remove duplicate features.

    Notice:
    1. Sort effect will not available if you try to return all rows from specific table.(maximum amount current row count -1)
    2. You can add filter or other options to parameter table to remove duplicate records.(filter, summarize, distinct...)

    Reference:

    TOPN Function (DAX)
