Hi Anonymous,

 

In your scenario, have you tried to use SQL query directly to load the data? If not, I would suggest you to try that first to verify if the issue persists. 

 

 

By the way, since you can get the right data with other reporting software. Please make sure you are using the same credential when connecting SQL Server in Power BI.

 

And also please check that if your account has view definition permission on the table in SQL Server. Go to Files>Options and settings>Data source settings, select Global permissions, delete any existing SQL Server data sources and then connnect to your SQL Server from Power BI Desktop.

Thank you for the reply,  I was able to start creating reports by building a SQL query. 

I find it odd that we are having a similiar issue with Business Objects pulling and previewing from the same table.  Do you know any security settings that might need to be enabled/disabled to get security working correctly?
