Table Filter

Is there a way to Filter a table using DAX outside of creating  a new table every time? I wuold simply like to filter the table im a working with using Dax and without editing the Query itself in Pow...

This is exactly what FILTER and CALCULATE have been designed for. May I sugest you to spend some time on the Introducing DAX video we created for DAX newbies? It provides a good basic introduction to the DAX language and it doesn't hurt that it is completely free.
