Syncing Slicers
Hi everyone,
I have just started using POWER BI march 2018 version.
I've created a dashboard including 2 pages, each one of them is based on a different table from the database.
Both tables have some mutual columns, one of them is called 'domain department', and I want to be able to filter my visualizations by 'domain department' at both pages at once with one slicer only, instead of different slicer for each page.
Since the columns don't contain exactly the same values, i have created a domain departments table (one column only, of the departments names), which each value in it is unique. I created "1-Many" relationships between each table and the domain departments table. At this point i have created a slicer that filters both pages according to the domain department parameter (using the 'sync slicers' option). And here's the problem:
on one page it works perfectly, but on the seconf page it filters the graphs only for 2 values of the slicer, and choosing any different value completely clears all the visualizations at that page. Any idea of how can i fix this?
Thanks a lot!

- GilbertQSuper UserHi there,
Make sure you don't have any other filters on your report pages.
It will also only filter based on what values there are in each of the tables.- nezraFrequent Visitor
thanks Gilbert.
Actually there isnt any other filter on my report pages other than 'domain department'. moreover, on the problematic page the slicer shows only 2 values which i can filter, while in the table that column gets much more values than those 2 values.
- GilbertQSuper UserHi there would it be possible to have a picture of the relationship view in Power BI desktop?

nezra,
It is better to use Power BI Desktop latest version(August version). You can check the sync slicer example in attached PBIX file.
If you still get incorrect values, please share sample data of your tables here so that we can test.
