Slicer & Button Interaction
Hello all - I have a delimna I'm hoping someone has a creative solution to! I have a report where I set slicers on one page (only slicers) that I synced to the rest of my report so that the selections for all visuals only needs to be completed once.
One one of my pages, I have a few demographic attributes (age, gender, race). Each corresponds to a set of graphs and tables that I used selections to filter and bookmark off the page depending on which button you click.
My issue is that I select my filters -- click one of the buttons, and it clears out my filters. I've make sure my buttons have "none" on interactions as well as my slicers but that didn't seem to do it. I'm still a fairly new powerbi user so I'm guessing I perhaps did the steps in the wrong order and thats the issue.
I do not want to clog up the report with a different page for each set of attributes but I also don't want to have to reset the filters every time I switch between buttons. So someone give me a solution that lets me keep my buttons and the slicers stay on 🙂
I wish I had braved up and posted this yesterday after spending hours resetting everything trying to get it to stop interacting!!! Thank you so much! I tested and it works exactly the way I need it to now!

That worked perfectly!!! So I can set the slicer now, it will still work on the visuals themselves correct?
