Show latest value in table

Hi,

I'm struggling to figure out how to get this table to display only the latest 'Measured-Thickness' by 'Test-Date'.

As you can see there are multiple 'Test-Location-References' as the test was performed in the same location but on different days, but I only want the latest to show. How would I go about doing that?

Measured thickness, test date and Test location are in Table A

Original Thickness and Test location are in Table B

Thank you 🙂

    So. maybe now? 😄

    Put the measure as a normal filter in Filter Pane. Keep Date column in your table if you need.

    FindTheLatest =

    var currentDate = MAX(Testing[Date])
    var max_date = CALCULATE( MAX (Testing[Date]), ALLEXCEPT( 'Testing', Testing[Area]))
    var check = IF ( currentDate = max_date, 1, 0)
    return check

    You can apply this to the Filter Pane to your current visualization.

    It is also dynamic and will react to slicer:

      Thanks, you have answered the question, but I think I wasn't clear in my original question, sorry about that.

      I need it to display the latest Measured-Thickness' by 'Test-Date' for every test location. Using the filters available seems to only get the latest values for the latest dates, not every location was tested on multiple dates.

      Unfiltered (see 3, 4, 18 for example have 2 samples on different dates, but the rest only have 1)

      Filtered results only show the latest values, not the latest value for all test locations

        Hi, Gary_RH
        put your groups and segments to your table without date column, write this measure and then put it into table as the Date Column:

        MAX_Values =

        var max_date = CALCULATE(MAX('Your Table'[Date]))

        return max_date
