Show and Hide visual based on a selected value from a table

Hello Community -

I am trying to find a hack or workaround to showing and hiding a table visual based on a selection from another table visual.

So I have 2 tables in my report, one has summarized key data, and the other has more of the details in it for each summarized line.  My client does not like the tooltip page idea when hovering over the lines from the summarized table because it blocks the data in the table.  They want to have 2 tables but only show the summarized data table UNLESS they click on one of the rows in that summarized table.  If they click a row, they want the detailed table to show up for the data in associated with that specific summarized row.

I have tried to create a basic measure and apply that to the conditional formatting of a text box, but I cannot use the field value option with a measure.  I can use it with rules, however I cannot make one of the conditional formatting rules have NO COLOR or 100% transparency.

Does anyone out there know of a workaround to be able to show and hide a visual based on a table selection?  Or how to conditionally format a text box so the background has no color or 100% transparency for one of the formatting rules?

Thanks in advance for any ideas!
