Understood Pmorg73 . There are ways to do this securely without Publish to Web. You can put PBIX files out on a file share for instance. it's a trade-off for sure and it is tough for smaller businesses. MattAllington has written numerous blog articles and may have some options. It's tough for me to call it a flaw because having a data driven culture is immensely valuable and providing sharing capabilities for free, well, I think organizations should be able to recoup huge investments in intellectual capital and $10/user/month isn't all that much. I can almost guarantee that your organization spends $6K/year on other software for the business but it is often difficult to get buy-in from ownership, I get that. Really though, for the value you get out of Power BI, it is pennies on the dollar versus any other solution I've seen with similar capabilities. Makes it difficult to vent against it considering you would spend much more on Tableau or Qlik or just about anything else. But I hear you.
