Salesman's Table Change
Hi,
We have recently had a restructure of our Sales Teams and was wondering how I go about protecting my historical data and only reflecting future Sales in the new team structure? I currently have a Salesman table showing Name, Team and Manager's Name, I can create a new table reference Post Feb 2022 or add new columns to the existing table showing New Team and New Manager's Name, but how would I reflect this in my visuals to determine which table / column to use depending on date?
Hi, RajP
Have you considered using the append query function in power query? It can combine tables with the same data form. If there is no date column in your tables, you can create them yourself, so that you can filter the data according to the date.

An example would be
Salesman A belonged to Team 1, reporting to Manager X, Effective 1st February, he's moved to Team 2 reporting to Manager Z. When I look at my Sales Dashboard, if I select January, I need this Salesman to be in Team 1 under Manager X, but if I select February onwards, he needs to be in Team 2 under Manager Z's figures. Does this make sense?
