Rows missing after appending

Have you tried changing the order of the tables when appending? Instead of 2018 append to 2016, try 2016 append to 2018 and check if the missing dates are there. It is possible that although the date columns look the same, they are actually not as M is case sensitive. "Date" is different from "date" so Power BI created two date columns after the append.

Many thanks for your answer.
Yes I tried changing the order of the tables by changing the primary table and tried both tables to be primary. I also made sure that columns names and order were identical. Still same problem 😕
