Range Changes While Interacting with ArcGIS
Hello,
I am currently using ArcGIS within Power BI for visualizing the data along roadways. Filters are established as well to interact with my table and map layer. My range is set manually (red < 150, 150>= yellow >250, green >= 250).
When selecting a filter or a row corresponding to my table with the same data within ArcGIS layer, the manual range changes. It looks like it is corresponding to the individual data set range versus staying within the manual ranges I have set.
I have confirmed my initial data in ArcGIS has the correct ranges, cleared cache, restarted Power BI, and removed my joined layer then reconnected my joined layer. After all these attempts, the range still changes every time I select a new roadway from my table or even just select a filter. I have looked at the Power BI forum to verify if any others had issues with this and no solutions pertaining to my situation were found. Any suggestions? Thanks

I'd check whether the symbology is set to manual/fixed class breaks or if it's using a data-driven renderer behind the scenes. Another thing to test is creating a separate calculated field with explicit categories (Red, Yellow, Green) in Power BI or ArcGIS and using that field for coloring instead of numeric ranges. That often prevents reclassification when filters are applied.
If possible, also try disabling interactions temporarily to confirm whether the behavior is triggered specifically by cross-filtering.

Another thing to test is creating a separate calculated field with explicit categories (Red, Yellow, Green) in Power BI or ArcGIS and using that field for coloring instead of numeric ranges. That often prevents reclassification when filters are applied.
