R script

Hello,

I can't use the R script editor in Power Query. Even with a very simple code like this one :

test<-dataset
test$newcolumn<-1

I have the following problem :

DataSource.Error : ADO.NET : Ä ρѓóвľэм θć¢ŭѓяеð ẃђїľë ρřόćєšśίňğ ўòŭř Γ šĉřϊφŧ.
Ħзѓє ăґë тĥё ţέċћпїсåľ đ℮ţαīľś: [DataFormat.Error] Désolé... Nous ne pouvons pas procéder à la conversion en un nombre.

ErrorCode=-2147467259
ExceptionType=Microsoft.PowerBI.Scripting.R.Exceptions.RUnexpectedException

However, I use R visuals in Power Bi without any problem. Do you have any idea what the problem is?

  • Hi , Jeremy19

    According to your error message, you seem to have encountered a problem with the data conversion format when using R script, I think you can first follow this official document to check whether your local computer is completely configured for the R script environment, and check whether you have encountered any restrictions:

    Use R in Power Query Editor - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

  • Thank you I have reproduced the example on my data with this code which works :
    library(readxl)
    dataset<- read_excel("D:/Event.xlsx")
    output<-dataset
    output$test<-1

    I still have a problem, locally it works but my data source is an online Excel on Sharepoint. Do I have to do a read_excel() in the R script? How to do it with a web link. The error tells me that the path does not exist
