Process Mining Process Map — Increase node and edge label font size
I'm using the Microsoft Process Mining Process Map custom visual in Power BI Desktop.
- Visual ID: processMapEE4E02B949754395AD0F88751FCB5864
- Version: 1.0.20260618.2
- Current formatting options: Finance metric and UI label overrides
The activity labels and transition-count labels are too small to read comfortably. Is there a supported way to increase node-label and edge-label font sizes, either through the Format pane, UI label overrides, or another configuration property?
I've tested JSON properties such as fontSize, nodeLabelFontSize, and edgeLabelFontSize, but they had no effect.
Is font-size customization supported in this version, or is this a limitation of the visual?

Hi watsy_1329,
From the current Microsoft documentation, I do not see a supported setting for independently changing the node-label or edge-label font size in the Process Map visual.
The documented customization options focus more on reducing the complexity of the map than on changing typography.
Microsoft currently exposes controls such as:
- Activities - reduces how many activity nodes are displayed
- Paths - reduces how many transitions/edges are displayed
- Use auto sliders settings - lets the visual automatically simplify the map
- Metric at node / Metric at edge - controls which values are shown
- Show terminal nodes - lets you remove the start/end nodes if they are not needed
You can see these in the Process Map customization documentation. So if properties such as nodeLabelFontSize or edgeLabelFontSize have no effect, I would not expect those to be supported formatting properties for the current visual.
For readability, I would try this order:
enlarge the visual → reduce Activities → reduce Paths → enable auto sliders → hide terminal nodes if they are not requiredThat should give the labels more room even though the actual font size is not configurable.
If you specifically need larger node/edge typography, then I would treat that as a current limitation of the Process Map visual rather than a configuration issue.

Hello watsy_1329,
From what I've seen, independent node and edge label font-size controls aren't documented for this version of the Process Mining Process Map visual
For now, I'd recommend enlarging the visual and reducing the number of displayed activities or transitions to improve readability.
If precise font-size customization is essential, you may need an alternative visual.

Hi watsy_1329 - No. Version 1.0.20260618.2 of the Microsoft Process Mining Process Map visual has no supported setting for node-label or edge-label font size. This is a limitation of the visual, not a configuration mistake.
