Placement of visuals/shapes
Do you also have (sometimes) the issue that if you place 2 shapes on top of each other, at exact the same place, you can see the second layer, while this shouldn't be possible?
See here an example:
The green layer is a lay-over which is made visible when a certain bookmark is selected. The blue layer should disappear because the green one is put on the exact same spot.
I know I can also hide the blue layer, but it shouldn't be visible at all, shouldn't it?
Hi, Arendp
Does the issue disappear? Have you tried to recreate the visual object and restart PowerBI Desktop? , Are the suggestions mentioned above helpful?
Looking forward to your feedback😀

Hi, Arendp
Yes, the blue layer should not be visible. Adding property values such as borders, outer lines, etc. will result in a reduction of the inner filled area. You can understand the meaning of this from the box model.
Please check if the upper layer shape has the outer line turned on thus causing a reduction in the filled green area, you may see the outer border of the green layer filled with blue instead of the blue area of the bottom layer.
The blue layer is not visible in the case where the two layers have no other properties i.e. the same properties. No doubt you are correct.
Please refer to the attachment below for details
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your answer.
I have checked all properties, they are for both items the same. But still I see a diff, as you can see.
When I make my window smaller, the green button seems to be more in line with the blue one:
I have the impression that it has to do with the screen size. Could that be?

Hi, Arendp
I am a bit confused. Are we still discussing the problem of covering the two shape layers, because the two shapes in the image above are arranged side to side. Maybe I misunderstood something.
I checked these two shapes carefully. I'm not sure if there is any difference here. Is there some difference in the height of the shape? I used the horizontal line as a reference line and found that the height seems to be different. Do you mean this difference? I am not sure if this is caused by the error of the eyes.I guess it is placed proportionally on the layout, so I think it should have nothing to do with the screen size.
If you have a sample file please consider sharing it here so I can understand the issue you are having and let me test it on my computer to see if I encounter the same issue as you.

hello, sorry to confuse you. My question is 2-sided. The layers on top of each other, but also the shapes next to each other. Here are the positions per shape:
Y-positie = Y-position
Hoogte = Height
Those are equal, so they should be in line with each other. But as you can see in the picture (and you pointed it out with a line), they are visually not in line... Any thoughts?- v-angzheng-msft

Hi, Arendp
If you look closely, you will find that the top and left edges are different from the bottom and right edges. There still seem to be differences in properties. The edges of the newly created shape seem to be very clean and smooth. It seems difficult to find the specific properties difference. Please try to recreate the shape and reopen the PBIX file to check if the issue disappears.

Your suggestions helped. Apparantly it's not enough to just switch off some elements of the shapes. I created everything again and now it looks fine.
Strangely enough all were copies from each other from the beginning, so you wouldn't expect this to happen. Anyway, solved, and thanks a lot for help in this.
