I am having an issue with power bi desktop not responding when doing anything for 1-2 minutes anytime I do anything, including clicking file, or try and add a column it is beyond painful. it seems to be an issue since the latest update 2.79.5768.1082 64-bit (March 2020).
the file is largeish at 750mb
anyone else having a similar issue?

Anonymous do you have a measure that you are using to visualize? Poorly written Dax or bad models can lead to performance issues. so if you can provide more details, it will help.

The below is the rending time for the report, its strange because before the march update it would use upwards of 70-85% cpu and similar ram, however now it only uses 25% cpu and 30-40 % ram max, even when it is not responding. parry2k v-alq-msft amitchandak

Hi, Anonymous
I wonder the Power BI Desktop you are using is downloaded from the Microsoft Store page or Official website. Is your Power BI Desktop 32-bit or 64-bit version ?
You may refer the official document to see if your computer enviroment meets the minimum requirements. I'd like to suggest you upgrade your Power BI Desktop to the latest version. If it still doesn't work, you may create a support ticket here .
Best Regards
Allan
