Parameter filter dynamic y axis

Hi,

I have like 6 different metrics in a dynamic parameter filter on my y axis that will dynamically change it. I have a bunch of different metric type changes too (percent, whole numbers, currency, etc.). How do I update my y axis to only change this metric to be able to reflect like 1-2 decimal points? For some reason it rounds up/down and 4% is duplicated. The problem if I try to do from the formatting options for y axis, if I change the format, it will change all the other parameters too.

Thanks!

    Hi Anonymous

Unfortunately, we currently don't have the ability to dynamically format axis values based on the selection of a field parameter. I'm attaching a link to a feature suggestion on the topic – please vote for it (I have already voted).

As for alternatives, instead of a field parameter, you can create bookmarks that switch between visualizations with the wanted format per visual.

If the Y-axis is an axis representing an aggregate measure according to a field parameter, indeed there is no way to apply a different format adapted to the measure.

However, the situation you're describing does not seem correct because the axis is aggregate and should not display the same number twice, as it simply groups the data.

Therefore, it seems that something you're doing is incorrect or not explained properly.
I'm attaching an example of my file with parameters so you can check what's different in your case.
If we're not talking about the same scenario, please save your file without sensitive data in one of the public clouds and share it via an open link.

    Hi Ritaf1983,

It sounds like we are talking about the same thing. The problem is is that my axis rounds for random numbers when I don't want it to. I have to rely on auto format and it is rounding "0.5" decimals to the whole number instead of staying at 4.5%. The problem is is that I cannot manually format the axis because it's a parameter, so I would have to format the entire parameter the same but I don't want to do that because I have a mixture of a ton of different metric.

        Hi Ritaf1983,

I will vote on it. Can you provide an example with bookmark switching? Wouldn't that be an issue if I have other filters and slicers linked to the same graph/data?
