Options Tab Missing from Slicer Settings

Hi,

I'm using February 2024 Version of PowerBI and I'm trying to apply a slicer on my report. I want to format the slicer so that it has a dropdown but it seems that I am missing the Options selection from my Visualizations tab. I have tried re-installing from the microsoft store but I can't seem to get the Options to show up. I've attached a screenshot of my issue below, as well as my PowerBI version.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Many Thanks,

Stephen

This issue is resolved now! Turns out that the new slicer doesn't have that setting that I was looking for so resorting to the old one fixed my issue.

  • Please check the data type of the field you are dragging.

Then try create a new report page

    Add a slicer visual

Drag your field to the slicer visual

Then in Format Visual, Visual, Slicer settings and Dropdown.

    Hi Anonymous

It’s possible that there’s a specific bug related to this release, the latest version might have resolved any known issues related to missing options.

Maybe you can check if there are any compatibility issues with previous version of Power BI.

You can download pervious versions in this link:
