OLE DB or ODBC error: [DataFormat.Error] We couldn't parse the input provided as a DateTimevalue...

I'm trying to import a data set and I'm getting this error. Any suggestions for how to resolve this?

    Hi Anonymous,

Which data source do you import into Power BI Desktop? Based on the above error message, it seems that there are DateTime columns in your data source and Power BI Desktop cannot properly convert the columns.

Firstly, please make sure that these columns are really defined with DateTime format rather than Text format.

Secondly, the DateTime data type/format is controlled by the Locale Setting in Power BI Desktop, change the Locale setting to match the source date format following the instructions in this similar thread.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the advice. I had already verified the format and the locale setting was already in alignment. It didn't fix the issue.

        Hi Anonymous,

What is your data source? Would you mind sharing sample data or your source file?

        Thanks,
